Govt buildings in Meghalaya to use CFL, LED lights

Shillong, Feb 10 (PTI) Meghalaya cabinet today decidedto make it mandatory the use of compact fluorescent lamps andlight-emitting diodes (LED) bulbs in all government andgovernment-aided buildings in the state.

After chairing a cabinet meeting, Chief Minister MukulSangma said this initiative is likely to help the governmentto save 70 per cent of the energy consumed in such buildings.,Air max classic These are what hold the charge that is accumulated by the solar panel. These innovations such as CFL and LED bulbs will helpin reducing the power consumption.,Led strip light The next most important part of a solar LED light is the battery. Some of these are common and can easily be replaced, but some are slightly more obscure and can therefore be costly to replace. We will implement thetransition in a phase manner,energy saving light bulbs are a great way to save energy and money." Sangma said.

The government also decided to use energy-efficientirrigation sets and motor pumps in the buildings.
