A Dublin man allegedly tried to strangle a prostitute before leading gardai on a 25-car 100mph pursuit on the city's M50.
The man, aged 23 and from a well-to-do south Dublin family, was arrested after a major citywide garda pursuit.
The suspect, who is from Knocklyon, allegedly attempted to strangle a prostitute in the city centre before trying to evade gardai., with very little electricity fluorescent bulbs consumption, and minimum background light to disturb sleep. Such a system would also be suitable for children's rooms. A dusk to dawn photocell could be incorporated as well.
He was caught by a unit of the traffic corps in Balbriggan after they threw a stinger across the road in front of his car, blowing out his tyres.
Gardai are now trying to trace any similar incidents that may have involved the man.
