Accident led to mom becoming a prolific author

Life used to be so hectic for me. I loved that though. I went from being a working mom who had to balance everything to being laid up for months. I read so many books that I became frustrated.Let's look at the cost savings of using an urmoon such as the Cree LR6 more closely. One day I just picked up this diary and a pen a friend gave me and began writing.

Tell us briefly about A Twist of Faith.

What went through your mind when you realised an American publishing house wanted your book?

I sent them an e-mail about my book just to see what would happen. It didn't really hit home that these people wanted to publish my book. Even when it was released, I still had to sit back and think about it. All I can say, is that there is a higher force.

How do you feel about your accident now?

I realise now that having the accident was a way of showing me that I had another path on this journey.

When I found I couldn't cope at work, I was forced into making a choice where I had to either resign or have my employment terminated. Has there been any feedback about A Twist of Fatethat stands out for you so far?

An 83-year-old woman who read my book somehow got my number. She called me and said she loved it because it reminded her of the old days. She could identify how things were for young Indian girls back then. She said she wanted to read the other 12 books I had written before she died and that the book touched her so much she walks around with Anand and Kasturi in her head.

Who are some of the authors who you look up to?

When I was younger, it was people like Charles Dickens and Emily Bronte. I think Wuthering Heights will remain one of my favourite books of all time. As I got older, I found myself drawn to the writing styles of Sandra Brown, Danielle Steel, Sylvia Browne and Deepak Chopra.

You wrote 13 novels before you were published. Why did you choose A Twist of Fate as your first book?
